Victoria and Albert Museum, National Trust, The British Academy – The Public Country House Conference, V&A.
Thu 16-Fri 17 May 24.
What do equitable and meaningful partnerships with global majority creatives & communities really look like?
——
Talking in my capacity as an Independent Cultural Consultant I spoke from my lived and cultural experiences of how to build strategic, open and dynamic partnerships within an equitable mindset which leads to sustainable projects.
I talked about:
- Rising Styles Hip Hop Festival – The Power Of Agency.
- Mother India 21st Century Remix – Live Score To Film – Taking Calculated Risks With Untested Products.
The two day conference was a sell out and was an experience…and yes (!!) i may of overshared!
I was in great company and shared the panel with the dynamic:
Laura Kilcer VanHuss
Elon Cook Lee
National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Destruction/Reconstruction: Putting Plantation Mythology To Work.
–
Brandon Dillard – Director of Historic Interpretation and Audience Engagement, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello.
Empathetic Interpretation: Sharing Full Histories with Diverse Audiences.
