I AM NOW A ‘INTERCULTURAL TRAINER’.

A few months ago i came across a post on here by Desta Haile letting the world know she is building a Intercultural Trainer programme, and would anyone want to give it a go!

After a bit of time exploring if this might be something good to give my time to, i figured much of the content on the course i have done over the years so what better way to better frame this work, open up my network and learning, into a new space.

Fast forward and i am delighted to say i am now officially a ‘Cultural Trainer’.

Bit weird to say out loud tbh, especially as this is work i have been doing for decades…but…this is recognised much more greatly internationally, a space i really enjoy working in. So with that – what is ‘intercultural training’ i hear you ask?!

Given how since time began people have travelled the world, some find themselves in new places with new environments including; customs, social rules, cultural nuances, a new language perhaps…how do you navigate these spaces if you are truly alone – this is where my work comes into play. To support and help bridge some of the elements of isolation to help you feel more like yourself in your new place.

It also means i can work with individuals, in groups, for organisations, with schools to name a few. I am so happy to of done this training and if you want to know how you may benefit, do drop Desta a line as i know she is developing the next cohort for 2026.

I am so excited at this layer to my work and if you want to know more, or know relevant networks i should be aware of, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
