Art Against The Grain – Sukhjit Khalsa

Impact Hub Birmingham is excited to present a night of poetry, music and discussion exploring the power of arts in bringing about radical change and how artists live what they preach.

The night will feature Sukhjit Khalsa a spoken word artist, humanitarian activist, MC, and semi-finalist of Australia’s got talent.

Sukhjit will be supported by local poets and musicians Amerah Saleh, Lexis Tomlinson, Luci Hammans, Aliyah Denton & Aliyah Holder (A2). As well as exhibitions from visual artists Shaheen Kasmani and Louise Byng. Following performances a panel discussion will be chaired by Immy Kaur.

Art Against the Grain will also feature a mini market, an Impact Hub Birmingham first where you will be able to buy clothing, jewellery, hand printed art work and merchandise designed and made by local creatives, including momhead.com & shaheenkasmani.com  (and at exclusive prices!). Don’t forget to bring some cash and we can’t wait to see you here!

All are welcome to this free event and you can book tickets here.
