Slumdog Millionaire

For anyone who has seen this incredibly evocative film may relate to questioning Slumdog Millionaire being a ‘feel good film’! Having seen this film twice it is clear it fills there are of course ‘feel good’ elements such as colour, sights, character loveliness, understanding the slum culture etc etc. Yet all that against child slavery, poverty, child abuse (i only have to say childs eyes being gauged out by acid!), violence…the list goes on. Against all the negative press at the moment around the film having possibly taken advantage of the young people of India, id argue that actually the film has highlighted a huge portion of society around the globe who live under such harsh circumstances. This highlighting should be supported as talking about it will open up the dialogue of getting things to change!

We wish Slumdog Millionaire all the best with the upcoming awards it is in line of possibly winning as the more press on the film, the more awareness for the subject matters will be challenged.
