THE CHALLENGE IS TO SEE THE BIG THINGS IN THE SMALL THINGS.
If you get the chance to watch this beautiful, yet sensitive film from the GDR (German Democratic Republic) and how the Stasi ruled through paranoid bullying…please do. Its poignant and stunningly captured an era in our lifetime up to and after the fall of the Wall.
The quote above pretty much summed up all that is the film.

Its happening in our lifetime
……….the worlds most powerful leader is bi-racial and not afraid to show it! With Barack being Inaugurated later today the world will be watching history in the making. For those friends lucky enough to be at the Inauguration personally, we wish you the best time.
Its a special time and it feels like change can happen but we all know Obama will be inheriting the twisted USA that stupid illiterate man (we cant even bring ourselves to name the idiot!) created!!
We’ll be watching & supporting.
Good luck.

One of the most innovative projects youre likely to be involved in needs your help!
MI21 ( Mother India: 21st Century Remix) is a live re-scoring of the Bollywood classic that has so far blown audiences away. The musicians will be in the studio (in Birmingham) next week to record the soundtrack and we’re are trying to put together a national tour for later in the year.
We’re are after a film maker to make a kind of video ‘calling card’ for this. However, the bad news is there’s no budget available for the work. But being involved will massively help the project and help expose yourself to a wide audience as it will be the main visual that many festivals, venues and organisations will see.
You’ll need your own equipment where possible, beable to edit the footage ready and work within the timescale.
If you’re still interested: Filming will happen on Fri/Sat 16-17 January at studios in Aston near The Drum in Birmingham.
- We need some short interviews with the people involved and some footage of the band in the studio. There’s plenty of footage from the live shows already that can be used alongside.
- We’re looking for something like the video of The Bays and Heritage Orchestra at the Liverpool Phil.
- The finished piece will be needed by the end of January the absolute latest.
- If you can help then email indy@kalaphool.com or call on 07977 449052.
